Tram number 6 provides transportation to the city center and departs directly from the terminal. The tram takes 11 minutes to get to the train station in the city center (Hauptbahnhof). You can also rent a bicycle and bike to the city center since it is located in such close proximity. Biking to the city center from the airport takes approximately 15 minutes. The airport features free bicycle parking areas in front of Terminal 2.
To drive to the city center by car make a left on Neuenlander Street once you exit the airport. This will take you to Langemarckstraße, passing directly over the Weser River, which splits the city into two, and going through the city center, which is where the central train station is located. The street named Hutfilterstraße after the bridge will take you to the historic city center.
