Transportation to Airport from Mexico City City Center

Mexico City International Airport, also known as Benito Juarez International Airport, is located in close proximity to downtown Mexico City, about 10km away. The airport is accessible by public transportation, including the metro and metrobus, as well as taxis, shuttles, and rental cars.  

Public Transportation

Public transportation alternatives, like the metro and metrobus, provide convenient and quick transportation to the airport from almost every part of the city. Keep in mind that the metro and metrobus can get quite crowded, especially during rush hour. If you have excess luggage then public transportation can be a troublesome alternative.

Taxi

Taxis are a more expensive option when compared to public transportation but they are more comfortable and convenient. Taxis fares are affordable in general and there are a large number of registered taxis throughout the city. We recommend getting a taxi from an authorized taxi stop just to be safe. You can also have the hotel you are staying at help arrange a taxi for you.

Airport Information

Located about 10 km from the city center, Mexico City International Airport, also known as Benito Juarez International Airport, is the busiest international airport in Mexico. Mexico City International Airport operates passenger services out of 2 terminals. The airport handled over 35 million passengers in 2015 and is Mexico’s busiest airport. There is an inter-terminal transportation system that connects both terminals. The Aerotren monorail system provides transportation between terminals for passengers who have a boarding pass. There are also inter-terminal buses that provide transportation between the terminals for all passengers and visitors. Keep in mind that the rail system is much faster than the bus.

Mexico City International Airport is a major international airport offering passengers a variety of services and amenities to meet their pre-flight and post-flight needs. Transportation to Cancun City Center from Airport

Cancun Intl. Airport

The airport is located in 17km south of the city center of Cancun, one of the irresistibly beautiful cities in the Caribbean. You can go to the city center from the airport by choosing any of the rental cars, taxis and buses.

Taxi

The taxis in front of Terminal 2 serve the passengers from 7 am to 11:30 pm, while the taxis in front of Terminal 3 provide nonstop service for the airport passengers all day long.

Bus

You can go to the city center by special ADO buses departing every 30-45 minutes from the terminal buildings of Cancun Airport. The ADO buses departing for the first time at 08:20 am departs for the last time at 00:30 in the midnight.

Rent a car

For 24 hours, you can easily rent a car that fits your budget from the National, Europcar, Alamo, Avis, Dollar or Hertz that are located side by side on the ground floor of the airport.
