Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Intl. Airport

Atlanta is an important junction point of land, air, and rail transportation in the United States. Metro

Using the gold and red metro lines you can get to the airport from Five Points in 15 minutes and from Peachtree in 17 minutes. If you’re traveling on the green or blue line you have to transfer to the red or gold line at Five Points.

Car

Since the airport is located very close by, driving is a quick and easy alternative. If you’re flying domestically you need to take the I-85, which connects directly to the domestic terminal. If you’re flying internationally you need to take the I-75, which connects directly to the international terminal. Both the I-85 and I-75 connect to other major freeways that provide access to other parts of the United States.

Transportation to Orlando City Center from Airport

Orlando Intl. Airport

Orlando International Airport is located in very close proximity to the city center, only 9 km away. There are a variety of different transportation alternatives available to get to the city center from the airport. Most hotels in the city offer hotel shuttle services to the city. We recommend finding out if the hotel you are staying at offers this service, as it is the most convenient transportation alternative. You can also get to the city center from Orlando International Airport by taxis, buses, or rental cars.

Bus

Buses are a viable way to get to the airport depending on your location in the city. Lynx buses operate routes to various parts of the city from Orlando International Airport. Lynx bus 11 and Lynx bus 51 run to Downtown Orlando, Lynx bus 42 runs to International Drive, and Lynx bus 111 runs to Florida Mall/SeaWorld. Depending on your destination in the city taking the bus from the airport can take between 40-60 minutes. If you don’t have excess luggage and if you’re not in a hurry then buses are a viable transportation alternative to get to the city center. Train

The SunRail commuter train, which began in 2014, is used for transportation throughout the Greater Orlando area. The SunRail regularly operates on weekdays. To get to the city center from Orlando International Airport passengers can take the SunRail from the Sand Lake Road SunRail Station. Renting a car from the airport to get to the city center is a very convenient transportation alternative. There are many rental car offices located onsite at the airport. You can also book your rental car beforehand by making a reservation online. Orlando has one of the largest rental car markets in the world. Renting a car is also a useful alternative to get around in the city during your trip. Orlando Sanford International Airport is the second international airport to serve the city of Orlando. The airport is located in Sanford, 32 km from downtown Orlando. Due to its distance from the Orlando city center, Orlando Sanford International Airport isn’t a popular airport among international travelers.

You can get from Orlando Sanford International Airport to the city center by public transportation. You can get to the city center from the airport by taxi, rental car, or private shuttles.
